Food / Attraction signs on the side of highways should only include local eateries, never fast food. How are these decided? I guess the fast food places pay money to be put on those signs?
On the interstate, the individual signs on those "attraction" signs that show gas stations, lodging, and food eateries are paid for by the local provider. I use to work with a guy who owned a winery and I noticed that his winery had a sign on one of those "attraction" signs you are talking about and he said that it wasn't cheap to put his logo on that "attraction" sign.
I notice these more than the huge bill boards

Columbia was 20 years ago this week. I don't remember it very much (probably because I was living abroad at the time). I remember it happening, but probably didn't experience the same level of coverage as y'all would have had here (and it's not quite as traumatic as the Challenger was for my generation where we all watched it live in school).

We looked for her mission patch when we went to NASA last summer. It's tragic, but touching to see that those astronauts are still inspiring people today.

Right there in front of Sam's? There's so much stuff there in the median that its hard to seem them, especially when they're in those sneakyshit white cars.
They allow 70+ from West Monroe to Sam’s now. Been that way for quite a while.
Yep, it’s right after I pass Sam’s that I often see them.
