I have a Toshiba laptop. Lately, the screen didn't always come up, but there was no doubt everything else was working. I could log in and hear the computer was functioning. The screen was blank.
At first, I was able to hook up an external screen and get the computer to work on that. Once it was working, I was able to shift the computer back to its own screen, and it would work again until I had to reboot.
Now, the computer will not boot. Instead, I get a BIOS beep code; viz., one long beep and two short beeps. This is what I found that code to be:
Video adapter error: Bad or improperly seated video card
I'm trying to figure out what to do. I'm off warranty. I certainly have never opened up a laptop, but I'm certainly willing to if need be.
