as much as i respect a literalist approach to this topic, that is not the context in which i asked the question.
if you want to know my opinion on how the narrative of genesis is both completely true and yet not literal, we can talk about that perhaps on another thread (or perhaps here...i just hate to hijack). for now believe me when i say that a non-literalist view of the creation narrative takes absolutely nothing away from the infallibity, veracity, or power of God's word.
