We play hawaii regardless of any juco's we also schedule, so what is your point? We'll just replace you with some real school. You obviously don't know that playing Hawaii in volleyball is one of the percs of the WAC, a real conference.

This smells like its goning to back fire on ulm. Almost one of those "Hey ya'll, watch this" kinda moment.

So, fly to Hawaii (apparently its a bad thing, travel cost issue has already been put to rest b/c of ULL) and replace ulm with Northwestern, Centenary (sp?), SMU (either one), Southern Arkansas, North Texas, Grambling, Rice or Houston. Any of these senarios either maintains the level of competition or increases it.

Someone should remind them about the last time we played NLULM in Ruston. They brought a few hundred fans and the rumor was that they boycotted because they did not want Tech and Ruston to make any money off of their fans. You can't have it both ways, and a true rivalry is about competition, not petty grudges. We pounded them in that game and embarrassed them even worse the next year in their own stadium, when our fans outnumbered them at least 3 to 1.

Tell them to go screw themselves and we can easily replace them on the schedule with Grambling. Grambling would bring more fans and the team is just as good, if not better. Plus, a tailgate party with Grambling would be hopping! In basketball, we can replace them with NSU. McConathy would love the chance to compete against us, and their team is twice as good as the WarChickens. In baseball and softball, replace them with NSU or a CUSA team.

They are in no position to make demands, and we do not negotiate with WarChickens.

I agree...I wouldn't miss a Grambling/Tech tailgate/game for anything; especially if they bring their band for the halftime show. Sign me up!

Tech will no longer generate revenue for you by purchasing tickets to games at Malone stadium, while your fans are at Sal's reliving the glory days of Bubby Brister. Face it, your fans don't show up. We can replace you with Grambling or NSU and "save hundreds of thousands" without your or your stupid demands. Did you "demand" that Arkansas allow you to have home games in their stadium? ...chumps.

I hope they call D.R. up personally and try to force his hand. We could then write them off forever. Better yet, maybe they will call up Rupp, Malone, or Dooley and try to blackmail them with this line of bull. The juco is shooting themselves in the foot just when we are getting ready to totally invest in our athletic program.
