That's great news for the area. I've enjoyed being in Shreveport and hopefully it will continue to grow AND support Tech.

There are two schools of thought with regard to the Global Strike command being located here. One is that they are throwing us a bone and Cyber Command will be elsewhere, the other is that getting Global Strike speaks highly of the Air Forces opinion of Barksdale and that with the infrastructure in place we should get Cyber Command as well.
Considering how so much news media coverage right now of foreign agents hacking into our Electrical Grids and stuff...it would seem there is a definite need for a Cyber Command. Bring it to Bossier ASAP!!
Just saw this. Not sure what, if any, effect it would have on the program at Barksdale.
Doc, have you ever heard of scambaiting? These 'baiters' pretend to fall for the scam (but really just waste the scammers time and money thinking they have a victim hook line and sinker)
This website has some pretty interesting stuff on scambaiting:

What is still unclear to me is whether this will be an umbrella for each service's separate cyber command, or whether it will replace them. If it is the former, the AF cyber command (or numbered AF or whatever its status ends up) could theoretically remain at BAFB. If the latter, then kiss it goodbye.
Bad news, folks:
