Not suprised in the least... standard operating procedure for the Louisiana Board of Regents. Like the plan years ago to merge Louisiana Tech and LSU-S and tier north Louisiana's colleges into a financially efficient system- blocked again by the ignorant BoR.
Delayed, but not completely blocked yet. The Board of Regents staff wants this to pass.
And this was breaking news earlier with two newspaper article links already posted on the thread in the football forum.

Sounds like some tiggers are trying to hold on to state controls a little longer.
'Delayed' until August, 'blocked', 'postponed', 'tabled', 'contained',... I won't hold my breath on this passing in Baton Rouge.
They decided an LSU-Tallulah needed to be built. It will go by the name SLUT.

I would love to see the presidents of all the schools that just got screwed over, to step up, come together, and make some noise
I think the Board of Regents wants this passed. The opposition came from the finance committee(or whatever they're called) and their opposition wasn't to the funds, but to the fact that the FIRST thing addressed would be athletics.
