SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) — A Massachusetts museum dedicated to Dr. Seuss says it will replace a mural featuring a Chinese character from one of his books after three authors said they would boycott an event due to the "jarring racial stereotype."
The mural features illustrations from the author's first children's book, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street.
The museum, which is located in the author's hometown of Springfield, said Thursday that the mural will be replaced by images from later books.
Three children's authors declined an invitation to the museum's inaugural Children's Literature Festival, which was set for Oct. 14 before being canceled. After the museum offered to take down the mural, the authors said they would attend, but the museum has not said if the festival is back on.

    Two things happened.

First, I took on responsibility for some people and learned that I could not help them until I truly understood them. My ability to see the world through other people’s eyes has greatly improved and my empathy quotient is now much greater.

Second, I still think Obama began his presidency playing division politics and it wasn’t until near the very end of his second term that he started to become the president for all Americans. Trump has taken this negative trait of Obama to the extreme. This is not good for the country at all.

I was a potential Republican voter and was not excited to vote for HRC. But when the Republicans nominated someone that is psychologically unfit to be President - “issues” became a non factor and I had to vote against the person who has consistently demonstrated an inability to separate fact from fiction, think through an issue or matter before speaking or taking action, be able and willing to learn about issues, apply coherent decision making to fact, communicate coherently, be consistent with statements he makes, comprehend likely results from saying certain things or taking certain actions, differentiate between acceptable decisions and horrendous decisions, be willing to understand protect and defend the Constitution, make agreements and keep agreeements, learns about and conduct foreign policy, deal reasonably and effectively with other people, not be delusional, understand basic democratic principles including the respect for elections and political opponents, and to be stable in his thoughts and his speech.

Of course, these are all outward manifestations of his mental illness, which appears to include at least a malignant form of extreme narcissism and quite possibly histrionic personality disorder.

I understand that some like how he says what he thinks and is not politically correct. The problem is that these attributes are also symptoms of his mental illness. It is quite possible for people not to be politically correct and to say what they think without having a disorder. Unfortunately, the latter is not Trump.

For all the good that he promises, Trump poses an existential threat to our country because of HOW his brain functions.
