So, black Americans make up less than what, 20% of our population? White people move and black people move, but there are a lot more whites, so it looks like White flight to those who want to see it that way. How many prominent blacks still live in the hood they grew up in after they become successful?
Correct. Blacks make up only 13% of the population of the US in 2019. Hispanics make up 16.3%. From politics to television and movies, blacks are way over represented in every aspect in our nation. It's utterly ridiculous how out of control political correctness has misrepresented the facts about blacks in America.
While Jones' main comment rings true, racist Van Jones make it obvious he and the Dems don't really care that blacks and minorities are being helped tremendously and given a 'hand up", in historic records, by Trump and he will continue to do so. Racist democrats have only given lip service to the real plights and needs of blacks while wanting to hold them down by enabling programs.

CNN contributor Van Jones warned fellow panelists, and Democrats in general, on Tuesday evening that President Donald Trump was helping African-Americans “in real life” and reaching out to them for their vote in 2020.
Jones was reacting to the president’s State of the Union address, in which the president mentioned several efforts to help African-Americans specifically:
What he was saying to African-Americans can be effective. You may not like it, but he mentioned HBCUs [historically black colleges and universities] — our black colleges have been struggling for a long time, a bunch of them have gone under — he threw a lifeline to them, in real life, in his budget. He talked about that. He talked about the criminal justice reform. He talked about opportunity zones. He talked about school choice.
The party failed to report results after Monday’s crucial, first-in-the-nation contest, and has still not fully reported results as of Wednesday morning.
Jones added that the State of the Union address came against the backdrop of Democrats’ mishap in the Iowa caucuses the day before.
Jones tweeted video of his comments to the CNN panel, adding: “WAKE UP, folks. The #IowaCaucus was a debacle, followed by a strong #SOTU speech laying out Trump’s strategy to win – which includes going for Black voters. This was a warning shot from the Trump campaign to liberals, and we need to take this VERY seriously in order to win.”
Jones has clashed with Trump before, though he has supported the administration’s efforts at passing criminal justice reform through the First Step Act.
President Trump honored African-American heroes several times during his speech, notably Tuskegee Airman Charles McGee and Army Veteran Tony Rankins. He also awarded an Opportunity Scholarship to fourth grader Janiyah Davis.
While Jones theorized that Trump was attempting to divide African-Americans and Latinos by focusing on border enforcement and stopping illegal immigration, there is no evidence that the president is doing so.

Joe Biden on Wednesday launched what appeared to be one of his sharpest attacks to date, charging that President Trump is a racist.
Speaking during a roundtable discussion with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee said Trump is engaged in the “spreading of racism, the way he deals with people based on the color of their skin, their national origin, where they’re from, is absolutely sickening.”

The former vice president has targeted Trump over racism since the very first day of his campaign. In a video announcing his candidacy in April of last year, Biden spotlighted the president’s handling of the violence surrounding the 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va.
"He said there were quote, some very fine people on both sides," Biden said as he highlighted the president’s comments. "With those words, the president of the United States assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it. And in that moment, I knew the threat to this nation was unlike any I had ever seen in my lifetime."
Last summer, as he condemned tweets by the president calling on the four freshmen progressive congresswomen of color known as “The Squad” to “go back” to the “corrupt” countries he said they were from (three of the four were born in the U.S.), Biden called Trump’s tweets “flat racist.”
And last month at an Asian American and Pacific Islander town hall, the former vice president noted "Trump's racist attacks during the [coronavirus] pandemic."
Trump responded at his White House news conference Wednesday evening. "We've passed criminal justice reform, something that Obama and Biden were unable to do," the president said. "I've done more for Black Americans than anybody, with the possible exception of Abraham Lincoln, nobody has even been close."

The comments come as the president threatens to send federal agents to Chicago
Democratic Rep. Bobby Rush on Wednesday accused President Trump of wanting to “instigate a race war” so he could say he was the “grand wizard of the Klu Klux Klan [sic].”
"That's Trump's game plan. Trump wants to instigate a race war,” the Illinois Democrat claimed during an appearance on “The Joe Madison Show” on SiriusXM Wednesday morning. “So he can rise up and say, 'I'm the real grand wizard of the Klu Klux Klan [sic] and I'm the President. Reelect me.' That's what he's trying to do.
“He's trying to play to the fears, to the racial animus that exists among certain White people, and he will do everything and anything to do that, because he wants to be reelected at all costs,” Rush continued.
Rush, who represents Chicago, made the remarks after radio host Joe Madison asked him about federal law enforcement agents potentially being deployed to his city to quell unrest and violence.
“We don’t need federal agents, we need federal aid,” Rush told Madison. “Send some money to create jobs, that will do more to curtail outrage and violence in Chicago than any federal troops or federal agents could possibly do. Send aid, don’t send federal agents.”

Funny... I saw some street interviews of people who actually live on the south side of Chicago, where all of the shootings are taking place. When asked if they supported Trump sending in Federal LEO to help stop the killings, EVERYONE of them said "YES!!!" They are tired of it, tired of the local politicians who ignore it.
I saw 3 people interviewed who expressed those sentiments, but it was on FOX so that probably means there were 50 others who said no! we don't support Trump helping us, we all want to get shot!
