I like the stupid comedies, but this movie was just stupid.

Gotta strongly disagree with you there...the genius behind the Borat character is creating this personality that draws the true feelings out of people in front of a camera...do you really think all of those innocent bystandards in the film would have been 100% honest in their words and demeanor if an average Joe was talking to them while filming it??? I think not...that's what makes the Borat character so great and almost everyone on the film was pissed off and tried to sue him for it...
Could of done away with most of the battling nude scene, but besides that it's an ingenious laughter...
But then again that is my opinion and I've heard quite a few people come through Blockbuster that have concurred with your assessment...
I enjoyed it.

What a fight scene!!!
I made a thread about this movie back when it came out.
I saw it again a few days ago and it's still awesome.
Borat is a very nice...By the way saw the departed for the first time today
Watched Borat last night (or I should say, watched half of it -- decided that if you watch an hour of a comedy and never laugh, that's probably enough time wasted) I'm with AG on this one. It's from the "look, I'm going to say something funny now" school of comedy. Way beyond predictable it seemed to me.
What makes Borat so funny is that everyone is real, except for Borat.
