Can someone tell me why this Cuban cigar box has LA TECH stamped on it?
I know nothing about cigars. So please forgive my ignorance.

...brand name!
I'm an asshole! What's your excuse?
It's probably a custom job..there are quite a few distributors who will design the labels for the stogies and will customize the cedar/wood box as well. Did you see this on ebay?
“Towie Barclay of the Glen, Happy to the maids, But never to the men.”
Never mind..found it on ebay. it says it's an original from the 1900's to the 1940's. As it says LA TECH and not Polytech I bet it's an old brand. Maybe it was one of the old casinos, hotels or businesses in Havana during it's heyday.
