I would bet that when the ladies were drawing 4,000 plus to home games that they did make money. What would it take to get the recruits to come to TECH again. Can Barmore be given a title similar to Malone. Would that make the players more interested to come to TECH if he was somehow involved.

With Todd Dodge now coaching the enemy, I no longer take you guys for granted. In my opinion, UNT has finally gained an ounce of legitimacy with the hiring of Dodge.

Todd Dodge has already reaped great rewards for UNT, but the question for many is whether he can coach at the d1a level. And before you target the Sun Belt, we are still talking about a high school coach, along with high school assistants, who will be matching wits and game plans against seasoned college coordinators and head coaches. What's your honest opinion?

I know this ? was not intended for me, but I will answer anyway.

Dodge has a shorter window of opportunity than Dooley.

I think Dodge will make the most of his opportunity and UNT will be happy.

Tylerdawg, do you mean that Dodge is expected to move on to a better job after a few years? If so, many NT fans understand that that will probably happen. With Riley at NT, and depending on if Riley redshirts or not, plus Todd has a young daughter, others believe he will stick around for 5-6 years, if we're lucky. The unknown is whether he moves on to the Cowboys after a couple of years at NT. You know he was interviewed by Parcells last year. Time will tell how all of this works out.

Oh yeah, it's gonna be tough at first. Thats why a few posts back I said UNT is going to have a good team in a couple of years. Dodge has brought a few former college coache in there. I know one of them. There will obviously be a learning curve but UNT will be fine.

earlier there was talk of a wac eastern conference, and so heres the general oppinion of the western wac school's fans:

"We dont want to expand east, we tried that before, la tech really doesnt fit graphicly" Im sorry to say this but although the conference wont kick out la tech it wont expand east either. Right now most of the wac fans are looking for teams that would strengthen our position against the mtn west and are not concerned about the eastern things out here by la tech.

i still say it would be best to trade us to the mwc for unlv and sdsu. maybe right now that doesnt look good for the mwc, but in 2-3 years, we can make ourselves attractive to them. after the trade, they could add utep and/or houston from cusa.

    WAC:

    Hawaii SDSU
    San Jose Fresno
    Nevada UNLV
    Idaho Boise

    I'll bet they didn't....

Kinda like 7-UP never had it,, never will....

That spin of them making money or breaking even is one of the greatest conspiracies ever spun by the Tech machine....

Sorry, but DFM is right. With the amount of $ that is put into the budget on th WBB side, they have to average and SELL a ot more tickets to just break even.

That's called a bowl game, not part of the regular season like a conference championship game is.

Funny thing is some on the NTexas board think they would get an invite from CUSA, I really doubt that SMU would allow that to happen when they compete for the same TV market area.
