"Family-friendly" does not mean alcohol-free in most parts of the country - but I think the two still go hand-in-hand in Ruston.

When I go to the games now, I'll bring my bowling bag along and get a few games in. It will be good practice for my Monday nite league.

On league nights, alcohol is a very integral part of the league experience. :-P
But I can see the no-alcohol thing working in Ruston. El Dorado, AR's bowling alley didnt have alcohol either, and so I only went there once in the 9 months I lived there, but it was always packed when I drove by it.

Sometimes you can find me Jackpot bowling on lanes one and two on Sat. nights, but my league is over at AMF on Mon. nights late shift. Ruston is in for a big treat if this new place really opens. I may just drop in on Colonial mid week sometime soon. Is that bowling alley in Ruston near the old hospital still there, I heard it was torn down.
I've been here pretyy much since the 70s and don't remember a bowling alley near the old hospital. Not saying there never was one, but I don't remember it offhand. If you're referring to the one on Arizona across from the BCM/BSU, it has been torn down and is a parking lot. But that's on the edge of campus, not near the old hospital.
