Not too encouraging. Athlon is predicting 1 Win, 8 losses and 3 "swing" games that could go either way.

What do you expect based on last year? They don't know what we know. They don't know about the team's new winning attitude, but they can only call it like they see it. That is why preseason rankings mean nothing until the games are played.
I never worry about their predictions, they are never on the money. I'm glad they did a fair assessment and stated early that this years team is a bit of a mystery. Given that statement I think they erred on the low side predicting victory's.
This just gives Tech a chance to prove people wrong again. If nothing else you know Utah St has Darrel Dickey as OC so if you can score more than 10 points you should be fine in that one.
I think this is a reasonable prediction. It is coming from a relatively unbiased source. some on here may not want to admit it but 2-3 wins is a very, very realistic possibility. 5-7 wins is also a realistic possibility.
One thing I'm look' forward about this year's team is seeing the revamped defense. I knew we were in trouble after Randy Bates took the job at Northwestern...I think we are in good hands with Spangler.
Does anyone remeber what these guys said last year at this time? Just curious!
this doesnt show a prediction, but they werent too optimistic:

Again hedging there bets, no one is quite sure what we can do next year.Athlon: The Bulldogs will be a mystery team heading into the 2007 campaign
It all depends on what we get out of the quarterback position next year.
Nope, I think it all relys on Defense. Look at our strong points. O-Line and Running Backs. That spells ball control. If our D improves we should be able to make each game close.
