La tax holiday (long time coming)
Blanco approves La. 'sales tax holiday' every August
Posted on 07/09/2007
Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco has signed a bill establishing a sales tax "holiday" for two days every August.
The new law waives state sales taxes on purchases up to $2,500 the first Friday and Saturday of each August.
The measure does not include automobile purchases.
The new law takes effect this year.
The state had a one-time sales tax holiday after Hurricane Katrina. The new law makes it permanent
AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT !!
