Ooh...how about starting line-up predictions? With some of Dooley's recent comments, this could be interesting.

I figure victorian will red-shirt. At safety, we've also got Justin Johnson and Deon Young would would more than likely play ahead of Calais, Faust or (you listenin' 1L) Linwood.

forgot about young, but i don't know much about his abilities. johnson is a senior and has hardly seen the field except on special teams -- he's probably not our best option at starting safety. i also forgot about linwood, but he's a true freshman just like calais and faust.
anyway, safety depth is still a concern for me. of course, the same could be said about several positions at Tech every year. hopefully we will keep everyone healthy and get the younger guys plenty of game experience, too.
I am not sure any of them would see the field ahead of Calais. Afterall they didn't see the field ahead of Baker last year. Victorian could red shirt but who else do we have to play corner? We play Hawaii next week so I think we will try and use as many corners as we can against UCA week 1.
A cool thing about the UCA game is that we could probably still redshirt a guy who tried out there. Baker was a freak last year. I know you're high on Calais...I am too. BUT, I've heard good things about Young. Bob may be right about Johnson, I'm not sure. CB could be a big concern. After Walker, what do we have? Howze and then the freshmen. My biggest conern is the OL. I just hope Accardo gets back quick. Dooley's comments of late have me wondering about the QB position...particularly, how long is Zac's leash going to be? Some folks play well with somebody on there heels, but it destroys some guys. I wonder what kind of guy Zac is.

I really haven't heard anything about Young. All I know is he is rated really high on NCAA football (for the past few years). Young could easily be either Baker or Dillard's backup and Calais can take the other. What exactly is the difference in the safety positions anyway?
I kind of wanted this thread to be the trash talking page, but there are no UCA fans on our site.......
When i say trash talking i mean the good clean fun trash talking....
The UCA people that visit our site are respectful posters. It makes it harder to talk trash.
Jordan Mills on choosing Tech:
“It’s a great experience seeing them play. It was a good atmosphere. The fans stood up the whole game and never sat down. They have a great fan base.”
