    A week or so ago the Cards were only 2 games behind the Cubs. I expected them to overtake the Cubs but after 7 straight losses they are now 5 behind. I guess I have to pull for the Brew Crew now that the 'Stros are out of it.

    On paper, he is clearly qualified to serve as GM. Get back to me this time next year and I'll give you my evaluation then.

    I think a lot of the Astros current problems stem from too much owner involvement. IMO, he should leave personnel decisions to the experts.
