It's only theirs because you gave it to them. If you elect a democrat you are in effect electing to give them more. If you elect someone that is a fiscal conservative you are electing to give them less. (unfortunately Bush is NOT a fiscal conservative) And BTW the system we have is B.S. and it needs to be corrected ASAP.

There's still no choice. It's required. It is their money, they only loan your income and take what they want/need back.

Not only had you better get ready for the doctors to chill you prematurely, you women better be ready to have natural birth. It looks like socialist medicine England is having trouble funding the feel good juice:

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.../nbirth126.xml

Pregnant women could face longer in labour under an NHS drive to reduce the high levels of epidurals and caesarean sections in hospitals, according to guidelines published by the Government's health watchdog.
The guidelines by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (Nice) are intended to reduce significantly the numbers of caesarean sections and other expensive interventions.

Hillary is looking to be the Democrats' choice. The American public will vote her in because they don't trust Republicans anymore AND they want slick willy back in power. Republicans will retain a strong position in the House and Senate to keep Hillary from her leftist tendencies.

When Donald Trump calls GWB the worst President the USA has ever had, you know that things are not looking good for the GOP. A lot of people might hate Hillary but a lot more are disgusted with the Republican fumbles and interceptions. THE GANG THAT COULDN'T SHOOT STRAIGHT!

You are warped and out of touch with reality my friend, unless that was a joke. With you I think you actually believe that.

I need someone to offer up any logical argument that shows any advantage of nationalized/public healthcare. Who would this be cheaper for? How would it become cheaper? How would it prevent overuse? How would it prevent overcharging? Would it be policed? Would the government have access to your health history? Would they have lower reimbursment rates for doctors? Would doctors accept the lower reimbursment or leave the industry? Would this prevent bright young minds from entering into the medical profession? Would medical schools have to lower requirements in order to keep up with the increased demand? Would the government be more efficient at plan administration that private companies? Should you be worried that the government would have even more control over your daily lives? What sort of customer service could one expect? If there was a dispute, who would you complain to? Would the current mulit-billion dollar health insurance companies go bankrupt or pull out of the US? How much revenue from lost taxes would the government give up? Would the government actually give up that revenue or shift it to someone else? If so, who would have that additional extra burden and would they put up with it? Who would police the drug companies and medical equipment companies -- the government? Would that be a conflict of interest? What about the people who make their living by working for health insurance companies, selling health insurance, or suing health insurance companies (poor lawyers)?

I guess I need more information -- me and everyone else. Because right now it seems like people are either in favor of it or not in favor of it without even knowing the details. That tells me that this isn't even about health care -- it's about whether you want the government to have more control, power, and taxing authority or less control, power, and taxing authority. Or perhaps you are just intellectually lazy and don't want to think about the particulars -- which could be costly.

Yeah, keep forgetting the federal reserve isn't part of the government... so money is privately owned.

Ah I knew you might have been joking.

Actually, it's the Treasury Department that prints money. The fed doesn't do anything with actual paper, just banking.

A standard of exchange is not the same as the government owning all property, just in case you were thinking that.

Yeah, the value is the services and goods. Money is just used as a proxy.

Re: A preview of Clinton health care?

I'll slip in the following missive here......
    Because of the thread topic......
Despite the complete absence of even some minor discussion pertaining to any actual H.C. health care plan.

This is like shooting sheep in a tiny barrel.
Now pay attention...... Because I know of no reason to waste more than one post on such obvious drivel.

THERE IS NO Hillary HEALTH CARE PLAN!
THERE IS NO Clinton HEATH CARE PLAN!

A brief walk down memory lane for any who may have forgotten so soon.
When Bill first charged toward the oval office...... He REPEATEDLY PROMISED HEALTH CARE FOR ALL AMERICANS.
When Bill won...... He enlisted Hillary to lead the HEALTH CARE FOR ALL PARADE.
And NOTHING hapened for FOUR LONG YEARS.

    THEN......
    During Bill's second stay-in-power campaign......
He again PROMISED that his reelection would DEFINITELY result in HEALTH CARE FOR ALL.
    Four years later......
Bill left his oval office and never looked back toward the MILLIONS OF AMERICANS who still routinely became seriously ill, with no hint of any often repeated Bill PROMISE ever offering any in need so much as one free aspirin tablet after a nominal democratic deduction.

If ANYONE on this board either BELIEVES or FEARS any current Hillary HEALTH CARE CRAP......
I'll offer a time tested morsel of wisdom.
All who fail to concern themselves with and understand history...... Are condemned to keep voting for the next alleged Clinton HEALTH CARE PLAN.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said...... But I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

A Japanese doctor says, "Medicine in my country is so advanced that we
can take a kidney out of one man, put it in another, and have him out
looking for work in six weeks."

A German doctor says, "That is nothing. We can take a lung out of one
person, put it in another, and have him out looking for work in four
    weeks."

A British doctor says, "In my country medicine is so advanced that we
can take half a heart out of one person, put it in another, and have
both of them out looking for work in two weeks."

The American doctor, not to be outdone, interjected, "You guys are
way behind. We are about to take a woman with no brains, put her in
the White House, and then half the country will be out looking for
    work."

That joke was funnier 8 years ago when it was a man with no brains, about W.
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." - Theodore Roosevelt
