    scrap the super jumbo package...

because we actually lose yardage on it, and tell Dennis Morris that if he wants to help this team out then his ass needs to go to defensive end because he sure isn't helping us on offense. It's pathetic that man as big as he is can't even get a freakin' yard.

Yeah because a gang of defenders tackling a running back as soon as he gets the handoff is the running backs fault.

Explain to me how nearly every other team in the country can put in a package of players, including a running back, much smaller than what we do with our sj package and get a yard, but we can't with a running back that weighs 260+ lbs and in fact lose a yard.

Because we also swap out on the offensive line .

Not saying we shouldn't scrap the package, but c'mon, don't blame Dennis when the guy can just barely even get the handoff.

I think thats the difference. We need a RB that can hit the hole quicker taking that snap.

I agree that that jumbo package needs to be scrapped though.

It's too obvious what we are about to do. They stack and send 11 players. Nobody can block that. Defense doesn't have to be kept honest.

I agree with that. I just think a RB like Griffin can hit it quicker before the defense can get so much penetration. But yes, we need to make our short yardage less predictable.

Why hand the ball to anyone 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage when you need a yard? The QB takes the snap a half-yard behind the line of scrimmage, therefore only needing to fall forward a few feet to get a first down. I have to say that this offensive staff is probably less impressive than last year's.

I liked it when we handed off to Livas with the jumbo in and got the 1st down.

This is what Im thinking about this.

We have someof the best TEs in the WAC, we can set up the big set, and do a rollout with the TE and WR option, or maybe even a FB.

Very simple Dirty. EVERY team in the country has a more viable passing threat than Tech. Ole Miss put 8 in the box on EVERY play and we couldn't do anything about it. D-Mo cant' run over 8 SEC defenders...I don't care how heavy he is.

You are right, I was there. It was like the Fresno game...we had no passing game. No deep ball and bad qb/wr. Ole Miss just stacked the box We really need to find a quick solution for our passing game...but honestly I think we will have to wait till next year to see better offensive production when we get better players.

The play takes a long time to develop. The fullback is 3 yards behind the qb and the rb is set behind him. Anybody who actually saw the play wouldn't be blaming Dennis.

Dooley himself said that it was an inability to "throw and catch". BASIC FOOTBALL. Without that the run had NO chance.

On several plays a wr for tech was wide open downfield. Zac either took too long to throw to him or underthrew him.
