Techsters vs. Techsters

Has anyone else noticed the second exhibition game will be against former Lady Techsters? I haven't been to an exhibition game since i was in the hoop troop, but this sounds kind of cool. i wonder who will be making it back. now what would be real cool is if we had a certain former techster coach also.

I wonder if Brooke can play in that game....she was an awesome free throw shooter. Also will the former Techsters be wearing sleeve jerseys?!

Last year there was a fiasco with the Houston Jaguars. If I remember correctly, they double booked by accident and only 5 or 6 were able to show up. It didn't give the Techsters much of a chance to prepare before the first game. I think that was the beginning of this idea. It is GREAT that they are doing this. I hope it is a big draw.

My hope for the roster would be:
T-Spoon
VJ
TJ
B. Lennox
Cheryl Ford
Venus Lacy
Brooke (but that might not can happen, since she is one of our coaches - maybe she will coach the other team?). Barmore coaching them would be super special.
C. Sides (it would be nice to give her a warm welcome and bring her back into the fold)
Some of the original stars would be awesome, but I don't know if many of them are in shape to do this (Rodman, Lawrence, Turner, White, Pam Kelly, etc....)

AND (talk about controversial) KIM MULKEY!

I noticed this game a few weeks ago when I was looking at the schedule for games I would be able to attend. I was bummed to see that I wouldn't be able to go because I think it would be a lot of fun. I definitely think that whenever they know what former Lady Techsters are going to play they should start heavily marketing that game. They need to market it now anyway, but then pretty hard when they know.

In 2004 when the Houston team came to Ruston for the exhibition game, they thought the game was an hour later so they showed up to the TAC like 30 minutes before the game. They had no time for warm-ups so again, it wasn't a good game to prepare the team for their first game. That same team only lost to UCONN by a point or so.

I would hope so too. I was just saying maybe that's why they haven't marketed this game a lot. I would LOVE to come to this game, but there is no way I am going to be able to get off work to make the long drive to Ruston and then get back to work. Hopefully, I can make some of the closer games.
