Haven't seen them. Sim told me what he wanted last year but I don't know if anything has changed. He wanted something similar to what Arkansas has with the red brick columns, etc. That could've changed though. I'll ask him about it next time I stop by the field.

We need some of our engineering students to work on getting us a radar gun with an LED board to display pitch speed.
I see that Clint Stubbs participated in the Longhorns fall world series,so he got some good work in before he tranfers to Tech..............
Ruffin and Rupp lead white to 3-2 win
November 1, 2007
ROUND ROCK, Texas -- The White squad posted a 3-2 victory over the Orange in game two of the Fall World Series.
The White jumped out front 3-0 when Cameron Rupp blasted a home run over the leftfield wall bringing in Jordan Danks and Kyle Russell. Michael Torres and Russell drew walks and Danks pinch ran for Torres.
The Orange scored a pair of runs in the top of the fifth trimming the lead to 3-2. With two outs, Clint Stubbs and Conner Rowe drew walks. David Hernandez hit a single to leftfield bringing in Stubbs. Bobby Buckner drew a walk to load the bases and an ensuing walk on Runey Davis scored the second run.
Stubbs:
Fielding: Average, Speed: above average, arm strength: low end of average, hitting; needs improvement, Power; not there; baseball intellect: average.
How will he help La Tech: Defensive speed late in games. Pinch runner in close games in front of RBI's guys.
RBI guys are different than power guys:
RBI Guys for La Tech: Goulder, Kersten, Bohannan, Bunting (contact). Jones is not named due to his low ratios. He needs to increase his K/Hit ratio. Pros look for a 1.5 minimum hit/K ratio for RBI guys. I used team stats for fall baseball to determine Kersten and Bohannan.
Although I think Bohannon has a chance to be a good hitter don't you think its pretty silly to rate him as "an RBI guy" based on fall intrasquads? Now Kersten has a track record from last year, he should have had more playing time IMO but he produced when he had the chance. Fall is used as an evaluation period mainly for the young guys. When spring practice starts you will be able to tell who the pretenders and contenders are. By the way can you provide the rest of us with your fall baseball stats, I didn't see them posted any where.
