thanks for the update, but I cant believe its late 2007 and we STILL cant spell Millsap correctly. Come on, people.
did he start or come off the bench?
I saw the cry baby Kirulinko (best effort, alta) on the court. Any one know what it took to get him to come back to Utaw?
Yeah, Larry Millet had to promise him that Sloan would spend as much time praising him as he does criticizing him. I think this is something all NBA teams should include in their contracts, along with nap time and juice breaks!
Unfortunately, I am serious, I would imagine that Sloan is seriously chapped by this. I am sure they have to get an extra ball boy to carry around his crying towel!
Millsap actually had 10 boards so he got a double-double. He shot 6-10 from the field and I think 4 of those misses were outside shots (12-15 footers). Unfortunately he bricked 3 of them. If he can develop a consistent 12-15 shot, he will be one of the better pf's in the league. As always he played great D and did all the little things.
Brewer really needs to work on his outside shooting. He plays great D and is great on offense cutting to the basket and finishing, but he air-balled a couple of shots and bricked a few more. Its still early, but I think with his quickness and defense the Jazz are much improved at the 2 guard.
Hopefully SAP averages 25+ minutes per game this year.
I don't mean to display my ignorance, (I know those of you who know me will say it's impossible not to), but what are the +/- on this year's NBA box scores. I have seen this column for years on hockey scores, but didn't know what it meant.

brewer is going to be a good player. nearly all rookies have a big transition period into sloan's system. because of paul's work ethic, he didn't have nearly as much problem. brewer is the best the jazz have at two-guard, but i think he'll be a solid player for them this year. actually, an upgrade from derek fisher, i think.
the bold, the beautiful, theprofessor
brewer was a much improved player in the spring and if he can get his shot going, he can be a good sg. millsap was the first player off the bench and took away all of collins minutes from last year. he should be the 6th man all year and harpring the 7th, giracek 8th, backup pg 9th, and collins 10th if they need him.
Brewer looked good. Paul came in cause Okur got in early foul trouble. Paul was the first sub for the Jazz in the game and it took him a little while to get into the flow, but once he did, he looked real good.
I know people like to dog AK47 but he was a blocking fiend in the game too.
Jazz look to be strong. For those of you that have DirectTV, you get the NBA league pass for free for the first week of the season and I think the Jazz play 3 more times during the free week. Channels 750+

What is the Lenovo +/- Stat?
The Lenovo Stat shows the power of teamwork. It's a way of showing the best-engineered/best combination of players on the court. The Lenovo Stat is a plus/minus statistic that looks at the point differential when players are both in and out of the game, to see how the team performs with various combinations. The Lenovo Stat can look at a variety of combinations including the best two player, three player and even five player combinations for each game.
Thanks, although I still don't see the usefulness of this stat, I will now know what it is.
