Anybody looking to buy a town? Maybe we could all chip in, buy the place, and banish Jim Oakes to it. Just a thought.

I know someone is going to ask this, so I thought I would do it now.
Do the girls in the next to the last picture on the bottom come with the town?
I don't think you can "buy" them. You might be able to hire them though.
Only $351,000 for those girls! Shoot- I've spent at least that much on just one...my ex.:icon_wink:
“Towie Barclay of the Glen, Happy to the maids, But never to the men.”
Not far from me at all. Beautiful country around there. And tons of vineyards and wineries.
Price has increased a little...$2,700,500.00
$2.5 million for 13 acres and a couple of old buildings?? Is it sitting on some oil reserves?
Go Tech!
That is it! I am going to put my house on EBay!
Anything within a 100 miles of Austin has become expensive, but this is a little much. It depends on how much business the Ice House gets, I guess. Plus, I assume the school house has some historical value. Wonder what kind of shape it is inside.
Given the proximity to Austin, the winning investor will surely convert it to a live music destination/roadhouse type place a'la Gruene and Luckenbach. He'll make a killing. In fact, if I had that kind of dough, that is EXACTLY what I would like to do.
Did the bid drop? It now shows the current bid at 2.5mm. That was his asking price.
It looks like it is much easier to get to than Luckenbach. Someone could give the Luckenbach folks a run for their money.
