Does any one have a report from last nights Blue/White game?

Blue won the game. The game was ended following the 7th inning after invoking the 10 run rule. Blue now leads the series 4-1.
Random thoughts: The crowd was probably about 150 to 200 people. There was hot chocolate for sale for $1.00. This November night was great for baseball. There were scouts at the game. One scout seemed interested in Lassere as he was charting his pitches. He may have been charting others but I did not see him when others were pitching. Luke Burnett was very effective in the innings he pitched. Adam Cobb hit one over the centerfield fence. There are about 18 pitchers and 6 catchers on the roster. Many of the pitchers can play other positions. Did I mention the hot chocolate?
Hot chocolate makes dark-roast coffee special!
Did anyone catch the Sat-Sunday games who can report on the hi-lites (or low-lites)? Our game write-ups disappeared after game 4
Aub may be delighted to hear that Casey Jones started one of these games recently.
Talking to Casey's dad on the phone right now. He pitched 67 pitches Sunday and struck out five and gave up about 3 hits and tired in the fifth inning and walked one. But he got out of five innings without giving up a run.
I'm delighted Casey finally got to play. I know he and his dad have been really frustrated. It has now been two full years since he signed with Tech. I hope every pitcher and every player can stay healthy this season and win that WAC tournament when it gets to Ruston!
I actually thought the layoff since injury before coming to Tech may have helped Casey. Sure it was difficult in having patience and working through rehab, but he also needed to work on the books in adjustment to college academics. While he still does not have the velocity back to his FB (will come more through spring), he is learning to be a pitcher now rather than just a thrower at this level since HS. Has added a changeup that is above avg at times, BP is still there with better command and depth, pitcing in/out, up/down, and front/back a little. I think this speaks well to his progress, development & coaching towards being a more complete pitcher for the future. Just needs to keep working, get after the classes, and take care of business off the field.
