Interesting... The Lady Techsters are 0-4 over the past four years vs Western KY. Forward Crystal Kelly has scored 105 points and grabbed 45 rebounds against the Lady Techsters.
Obviously big, talented post players (like half-time adjustments) are over-rated and we just need to keep signing more outstanding 5'-6" guards!
2007: 6'-3" Crystal Kelly scored a game-high 33 points and grabbed 14 rebounds beating Louisiana Tech 87-76.
2006: 6'-3" Crystal Kelly hit a game-high 21 points winning at Louisiana Tech 73-60. Tech had nobody talented and tall enough to guard her. Kelly also hit the first two three-point shots of her career against the Lady Techsters.
2005: Sophomore Crystal Kelly scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Western KY crushed Louisiana Tech 80-59.
2004: As a freshman Kelly scored a season-high 29 points and pulled down 13 rebounds at Louisiana Tech. Western KY won the game 73-60.

We won in 2004 73-60. She is really good though. I think that if this hadn't been our first regular season game against a team that has played 3 already then it would have been different.
I saw a lot of good things. Remember we were playing our first game, they were playing there fourth.
We had a rather balanced scoring and rebounding.
Our players are also younger than their's and have less game experience.
Having said that, at about the seven minute mark, the score was 63-62. Sneed fouled out and after that their all-american took over. If Nixon had still been here, maybe she could have spotted Sneed a few quality minutes and she would have been in the game late.
One other fact. They outscored us by 15 at the line and won by eleven.

I totally agree! This team looks like it is going to be extremely talented and I saw a bright future last night.
Thanks Champ, we really need you guys to keep us positive about the future....
This is going to be a good Techster team. Especially now that we are finally puttng in some tall players. OUr guards will be amazing.
