I don't think it's very appropriate to be talking about Bower's family. I know most of you don't know this, but he lost a daughter in a car wreck a few years back. Very tragic accident. Seems like a very classy guy.

Not so much. Jealous of Favre and an egomaniac.

Bowers was a Bobby Collins deciple. He was at SMU when the crap hit the fan and SMU was hit with the death penalty.

All things considered, Bowers did a good job escaping the noise surrounding SMU's death penalty and made a nice career for himself. He was fired because SMU was picked to finish 1st in CUSA this year and he came up short.

USM folks are tired of the"stagnation" of their offense. Offensive coordinators come and go at USM (they hired the Nevada OC a few years ago who had the #1 ranked offense in the country) and yet the offensive playbook at USM never changed during Bower's tenure.

Word is that Bower is interviewing at Duke and may make trip to South Carolina while he's on the coast (seems everyone knows that Miles to Michigan is done and that Spurrier to BR is also just about done).

if Bower could win 6 or 7 games every year at Duke, similar to what he has done at USM, he should get paid a ton!

I don't think we've heard the last of Jeff Bowers. Duke should jump all over a guy like him.
