I see your point. I myself though, have high standards in both. While the actually music part of "Christian" music may not be as appealing or good as lots of "secular" music, I still enjoy it because of the lyrics. (let me mention when I refer to Christian music, I am referring to anything other than "Praise and Worship". I consider that a different genre from Christian music.) On the other hand, there are a lot of "secular" artists that make incredible music, but might be lacking as far as quality of lyrics (obviously, purely subjective). Then there are bands, such as Breaking Benjamin, that make incredible music, and have awesome lyrics. While the message may not be Christian, that does not mean I am going to rule it out based on my beliefs. If I did, I would miss out on a lot of great music.
