The teen has been exploring some of the clear influences on her favorite current artists (the ones with all the feelings). So like Smiths, Cure, Jeff Buckley, Mazzy Star, etc. You know, the ones for the teens feeling all the emotions. And even though the Cure version is great, the Ferris Bueller version is the one that gets in my head of this one.

The Siouxsie and the Banshees version of The Passenger. I think I've posted it here before (probably with the same comment) but I usually like the Iggy Pop one better. It's just that sometimes those horn stabs elevate this one. The Michael Hutchence one is great, too (but a pretty clear third place).
