Jordan Mills on choosing Tech:
“It’s a great experience seeing them play. It was a good atmosphere. The fans stood up the whole game and never sat down. They have a great fan base.”

Merle Haggard - "Okie From Muskogee"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfyayWe6_oY
Two fun facts: Merle is a relative of mine, and also this song makes me think of the folks blasting Tech players on here for wearing their ballcaps backwards on the sidleines.
I don't care much for country music, but some of the old stuff like this is still awesome to me for some reason. It's timeless!
OH another fun fact/story, if you care to read any further... When I was living in Japan, I met up with an American buddy of mine at a little bar near the train station closest to my neighborhood after class one day (did some college there). While there, we talked for hours to a couple that ran a country radio station out there between Kokubunji and Kunitachi, in western Tokyo Prefecture. Well, they were huge fans of American old-school country music (they were Japanese), and when I told them how I'm related to Merle Haggard, they flipped out. Their license plate on their car said "HAG-FAN." I kid you not. That led to a pretty interesting evening, and it was interesting connecting to such random people from so far away over something like that.
I am not a big CW fan but I found this Haggard tune a while back and have had it on my mp3 player for some time.
Merle Haggard - Chicago Wind
One of my neighbors is a big CW (old style) fan. He arranges music for a living along with teaching people on how to do it and having his own band. He has won 2 grammys for his mixing and is a big Haggard fan. That is how I got introduced to this tune.
