I need some help determining the best 10 songs of the 80s and thought there might already be a thread for that, but couldn't find one.

If you google "best songs of the 80s" you'll find some lists that may be helpful (you won't agree with them all, but at least you'll have a 100 songs or so to skim through - VH1 has a top 100 for example).

A few suggestions for consideration:

It's not an exhaustive list. Just some suggestions. A place to start.

But I doubt any Queen song would make it into my top 10 for any decade, certainly not the 80s.

on a serious note, you gotta have some police in there. but i wouldn't consider their biggest hits to be "best".

Back in September I took the whole family to Dallas to see Journey, Foreigner and Night Ranger. Another 80s Tech grad and his wife and kids joined us and it was a great weekend. The concert was outdoors at the fairgrounds and except for the parking it was a very smooth event. If you had told me thirty years ago I would see those bands again in the future with my own kids and wife, I would have laughed.
