    Re: Moral victory

This guy is kind of funny.

I have no problem with hecklers kicking us when we're down, as long as they stick to facts instead of plain old flaming. I don't know about elsewhere, but on this thread he speaks the truth.

Thanks for all the hard work you've done to bring us to where we are today, Mr. Oakes! And Dr. Reneau, it seems like "lafan" is doing a good job of summarizing what your presidential legacy will be with regard to Tech Athletics. We have a bargain-basement athletic department right now, and we are certainly getting what we've paid for!

Now, to be fair, there are some good things going on. Dooley, Rupp, Malone, Buskirk, McGuirt, Beasley and others are doing their best to bail water on this sinking ship. I think with a fresh leadership perspective from a qualified new Athletic Director and we could really see some impressive things happen.

Until then, we'll just count on lafan to help us keep track of how far we've fallen.

If you're a ULM fan, I hope you guys finally get a winning season together. If you are a ULL fan I hope you have recovered from seven (?) straight losses to a team that has never put together a div 1a winning record.

I know that you didn't do it on purpose, but Sim and baseball have been doing good WAY longer than ANYONE on the list above.

At least we're not ul-someplace, that means we'll always have a chance because we have an identity we are proud of and you never will. We also aren't so envious of a school that we have to go on their board and flame them.

Yeah, I was kind of focused on the recent developments that apparently we are supposed to herald as "progress." Coach Sim and the track coaches (and especially Coach Jackson, doing double-duty with a very successful bowling team as well) come to mind as having represented Tech well throughout these difficult years.

Thank you so much for coming by and visiting. I am so happy we have some things you would love to talk to us about.

However, because of all the things you have brought up I am so happy that we have separated from your kind.

    Merry Christmas, Goober.

And, also, Happy New Year, envious one.
