Mercifully, what has to have been the worst college football season ever is over.

I was thinking just the opposite. Week in and week out we never knew who was going to be number one on Monday morning. If this year doesn't prove we need a playoff system of some kind, better than what we have now, I don't know what does. This was a crazy year for college football, but I'd take this kind of year over the same team being number one all year, like it used to be or seemed to be. There was no dominate team and when the media guys tried making a team dominate, they would go and lose (See USC's loss to Stanford or West Virginia's loss to Pitt)...I for one, loved the year in college football. It all stared with App. State beating Michigan at home...that was as crazy as it gets and it just got crazier as the year went on.
The Dawgs could have used another win or two, but next year is only eight months away...when we upset the college world by beating Mississippi State on national TV!!
I also loved this season. 2 or 3 more like that and the BCS is a goner.

I agree, if you are a fan of a non'bcs team, a'la mid major, you have to be tickled with this season. parity is what you have longed for and its here for the most part.
I hit my lsu co'workers early this morning with compliments to avoid any fights :icon_wink:. go ahead and give them their due and they'll be quiet for the most part LOL
My concern is that the major schools to protect their power will use this as an excuse to further squeeze out the mid-majors.
I have to agree with the majority here. This was a fun season to watch. Lots of interesting twists and turns.
I loved it when #1 and #2 both got knocked out at the end of the year. But I didn't realize at the time that it would move those sorry ass tiggers to the top. Anything but that.
Loved the regular season...hated the bowl season...
This was a great year. it was impossible to predict.
P.S. The NC was a bummer, though
I thought the regular season was great, not being able to miss a game because you couldn't predict who would win. The bowl season was kind of blah!!!
I want some more of it.

Loved the regular season. Bowl season sucked. January 1 used to be a great time for college football. Not so much now. They've blown it.
I am officially depressed now that college football is over. What a great season......the bowl games weren't that great, but that happens from time to time. Still kind of pissed we got screwed out of seeing Georgia/USC.
