Double Digit Losing Seasons in LA Tech history

Double digit losing seasons in history -

    2007-08, 15 (16-15 overall)
    2006-07, 13 (17-13 overall)
    1990-91, 12 (18-12 overall)
    1991-92, 10 (20-10 overall)
    2004-05, 10 (20-10 overall)
    1975-76, 10 (19-10 overall)

We are 16-15 in 2007-08 with 1 (maybe) NIT tourney game to play. Will we have a chance to get in? I doubt it.

We are 7-9 in 2007-08 with 13 regular season games to play.
I think we'll be fortunate to go 7-6 in the remaining games. If we're really lucky, 8-5.

The program will suffer its first ever losing season. It is dead, dead, dead....

Long is horrible and Joakes' demolition of Tech athletics is complete.

FFA - Don't waste your prognostications here on CL!! Go for the Powerball numbers!!! If there's an upside ( & is there?? ), if we win our first round game ( Nevada ) in the WAC tourney then we're assured of a WINNING (??? ) season 'cause if we lose the 2nd round game then we finish 16-15. Heck, even if we lose to Nevada ( we split w/them in the regular season & both games were close ) then the CL supporters can brag that it wasn't a "losing" season @ 15-15!! Of course, once U factor in the "winning" percentage, this is the WORST team in Tech history!! Think how much worse it could have been had Jo not played so well.

Big Grin Re: Double Digit Losing Seasons in LA Tech history

BTW - Back on 1/28 OSU lost to K-State & it was said that KB would have MANY more losses to come. At that time I opened up a wager ( which no one took me up on :icon_wink: ) that WE would end up w/more losses from that point forward that OSU. Here's the thread -

    http://www.latechbbb.com/forum/showt...t=48338&page=4

OSU was 16-3 after the KSU loss & ended up 23-6 ( 3 more losses ). The Techsters were 9-10 after beating Utah State ( on 1/26 ) & ended up 15-14 so that's 4 more losses by season's end!! Guess FFA isn't the only low-budget Nostradamis around here!!
