Pix of old and new tennis courts, Apts.

    Pix update:
Here are some drive-by pix of the new apartment buildings going up on the site of the old Tech tennis courts and the new tennis courts going down on the parking lot between the Aillet Fieldhouse and track.

The housing is nice...way nicer than what i had to live in at Tech...but i didn't mind Hut or Carurthers, had some fond memories there. Also crashing on those Cott parties. I'm glad Tech is moving forward on student housing to the new apt style, but I think students need to experience real dorm life.

The tennis coach is VERY happy with the location of the new courts. He said that there will be a lot less wind and there will be a natural place to view the matches.

I know what you mean about the parking, but the truth is, we needed the courts and after hearing the coach talk about the location, I'm glad we put them there.

Yeah. I don't know how that happened. The Administrators must have done it. I'll bet you liked the picture of the facade of Ebbet's Field better.

Parking is a luxury, we need a real tennis court more...fans can park anywhere on campus and walk to the stadium for games. I would actually like to see Alabama ave and the area through there full of tailgaters for the MSU game.

Does anyone know when constuction for the new nat facilities is going to begin? Also is there any kind of blueprint of exactly what it will look like?

Are any of the athletes moving out of Hutch. to the new apartments? This would surely help recruiting.

Dooley's was putting a big push on Housing to have all the football players in the UP apartments; last I heard they were trying to accomodate but can't get them built fast enough.

I like the layout of the NSU tennis courts and wouldn't mind seeing something like that.

They have 3 courts on both sides of the seating. Pretty good layout.
