Exit 84 - yes, it has been wasted. There were no WMDs in Iraq. We are not any safer for having attacked Iraq. But since we did attack Iraq, we have fewer "good" options on the table for Iran, and it is going to be harder to get the support of other nations to resolve this matter.

I wonder how long it will be until a terrorist actually nukes somebody. It's bound to happen, despite the Israeli assassins' best attempts.
I would have to say that by attacking Iraq, we have also diverted the terrorist's resources as well. Everyone knows that their are extremist crossing the border to fight us in Iraq. To this point I say its better to have them over there fighting our troops, than to have all those guys trying to get into America to attack us.

So, in other words, W hasnt been proven right about anything, because there was no mention of any nuclear weapons in Iran anywhere, and all they did was test a satellite launching rocket? Yet to dawg80 that's the equivalent of finding a uranium-enriched warhead?

Explorer 1 is a different rocket than the Safir-1 rocket.
Iran will have weapon grade uranium by mid-2009, at the earliest, some time in 2010, at the latest.
China has sold missle guidance technology to Iran. Gee, I wonder where China might have gotten that technology. Hmmmmm....hmmmm..... ah, Clinton-algore did sell missle guidance technology to the Chicoms in '96. Do you think there's a link?

Wednesday, Feb. 6, Moscow followed Washington in voicing concern that the launch of Iran’s Safir-1 space rocket Monday, Feb. 4, attested to the existence of a nuclear weapons program. This diametrically contradicts the US National Intelligence Estimate of last December, which concluded Iran had shelved its covert military nuclear program in 2003.
Moscow too has evidently abandoned its persistent denial of evidence that Tehran is developing a nuclear bomb.
