what is so great about this exact moment is the fact that most of you are now realizing that MCCain has no chance in the general. It is now, right now, sinking in..

too many left people voting. Many of you, in your profits, forgot that democracy isnt about how much power you have with money. Its about votes.....Numbers. Americans that make less, in many cases much less, are going to take over the FUTURE of this country.

Sorry right? Dogs, the numbers tell me the Dems will absolutely DESTROY in the general.

The right has No chance in the general. Have a nice day.

Id try to start looking for value... and not oil and war based stocks......cause if you dont sell now with this dem uprising......your going to be left with a 2/3 stake...dont think the market cant come down to 8000, where it belongs...

I want to see some 12/1, 8/1 PE ratios... in non oil stocks......somebody help me!!

    I'm in the housing industry.

Believe me I know what's going on.

We've adjusted the homes we are building to get out of the range you just mentioned. We are going very high and very low.

Warren Buffett has never bought a stock with a bad p/e ratio. Do yourself a favor, right now. Check your port. If you own a stock that you bought for more than a 12/1 ratio, Warren woud laugh at you. As you puke on yourself. Get used to it, cause its probably going to happen again...

He thinks everything is overrated, tremendously. Thats why he owns Clayton Homes, a pre-fab/mobile home builder. Think about it.

So, you finally figured me out, im a socialist, and i make you puke, because i think the country is incredibly overpriced, ready for a correction.

Try not to cry and puke yourself out of your situation. I know alot of you have worked hard for your fine lifestyle.

Just chew on this. You probably dont know SQUAT about what makes this country go. Im not saying i do....but chances are, I do.

Be thankful for what you have...and start thinking about how you can make things better for others...

    Get Serious.

Three of the more recent stocks Buffet has purchased through Berkshire Hathaway have been KFT (Kraft Foods), KMX (CarMax), and additional shares in BNI (Burlington Northern Santa Fe). None had a p/e even approaching (to the downside) 12.

Why not just buy some Berkshire Hathaway ??

It's worked out o.k. for me.

The only "others" I give a damn about are my wife and 4 kids. I don't owe anyone else anything. I don't understand the mentality that I owe "others" because of my good fortune, which is a direct result of MY hard work. See, that's why the democrats will ultimately ruin this country. You guys feel some sort of burden to "give" everything to the minorities and the poor. As a result, America has way too many people who sit back with their hands out waiting on the rest of us--the real taxpayers--to fund their lives.

This "Robin Hood" system of taxing the rest of us and giving it to the poor does nothing to get them off their asses and integrated into the workforce. And don't give me any BS about "there aren't any jobs for them." You guys are also the ones who want illegal immigrants to come here to "take the jobs no one else wants." Well, it's not that no one else wants them or will do them -- they don't want them or do them because they get their money for free from the government, so why would they actually take a job and have to work.

If you want the government to make things better for "others," then someone should be pushing to establish programs to bring people into the workforce; to give them a sense of self-worth and pride in earning a paycheck. But, we all know that this would never work because there are too many people out there who are lazy and will continue to work the system to get their free money.

I want to know how many people you know that don't work because they don't want to. Bigger than that, though, why do you think that we are giving loads of money to the ones NOT in the workforce. The majority of help is needed for those that DO work, but have no insurance and can't make ends meet by working just as many hours as you do - serving you and me.

What about the disabled? That is who gets the lions share of help in this country. I guess we shouldn't help them either.
Your post is EXACTLY why I want Democrats to take back the Christian mantra in this country.

Oh, and I DO go by "teach a man to fish". Your post indicates that the bait should be taken away.

OMG! What am I doing? I should not be reading or posting here. Gets me in too bad of a mood for the day. I will let it go. I did my voting and Caucusing last night in Texas. The people will decide what happens next and I will be a part of that instead of getting into a bashing war with Republicans on here. So, I will sign out...... :icon_wink: I am very excited about the chances for this great country again, though.

Many people choose not to work. That's a fact. As far as the disabled, that's a different category of people. There are definitely people who need help -- I give more than my share to charity to help those WHO CANNOT HELP THEMSELVES. However, I'm not talking about those people. I'm talking about those that CAN work and CAN better themselves, but they choose not to. And you know as well as I that our country props up MANY people that fall into this category. Hell, New Orleans was full of them.

I don't owe other people anything. They owe themselves.

Everything I have achieved has been because of my military service and professional development, which included the completion of my bachelors and masters degrees while on active duty. Why can't other people do the same? The standard liberal argument of cultural bias doesn't apply here because the military will take virtually anyone, train them to do a job, and then provide them with educational opportunities throughout their career. So why don't more people take that route? You know the answer -- they're too damned lazy.

I never said a word about taking anyone's bait away. Teaching them to fish is the essence of my position. But if you had your way, those of us with jobs making six-figure incomes would have to take second jobs just to pay our taxes. You have a socialist mentality, Champ. It's completely your right to have that position, but it is a form of socialism. You really think that's the answer?

Oh, and to answer your question in bold -- if they don't make enough they should get a new job or improve on their salary/wage negotiations. If they don't have insurance, there's always Medicare. I have relatives who are on Medicare who are also employed full-time. There are programs out there to assist the people you describe -- I am already funding those programs with my tax dollars. I spend enough to insure my family, so why should I insure yours, too?
