    I am familiar with the hiring freeze. That is why I question the timing of firing assistant coaches. Joni had a offer and was going to leave anyway. There isn't a lot that could have been done about that. Why fire Scott at this particular time, especially knowing in all likelyhood Brooke is leaving with him. The hiring freeze isn't supposed to lift until July 1. That's a long time without assistants. Maybe there is some behind the scenes maneuvering going on we are not aware of.

    Sounds ALOT like that "nationwide search" that was done to replace KB. Doesn't DR realize that our "nation" extends beyond the Tech campus?? Man, for someone who wants to direct Tech into the elite status as a research university, DR is awfully clueless!!
