Lady Techsters associate head coach Joni Crenshaw left coach Chris Long's staff Monday to accept a similar position at Alabama, where she was a center and team captain for coach Rick Moody from 1997-2001.

Insell is gone because he wants to coach the floor. With all the assistants leaving it looks like he should get the chance.....HMMM...

I DO know that a head coach is only as good as the assistants around him/her. I think this is the time to bring in a big name and I think that will happen. If it does, it will put butts in the seats again and bring in more recruits. Just call it an educated hunch.
While everyone else complains, I don't see anything but good coming out of this. Many many many people want Long out now, but that isn't going to happen. The second best thing might, though, and it might be enough to turn things around.
All we can do is wait, but there is hope on the horizon.

With Scott gone, Brook can't be far behind. That will leave Long standing alone.

just consider if he added Spoon and Frierson or Spoon and Maxwell...this could be positive.
Do all these folks have degrees?
I believe Frierson does. You can be hired and work on a degree until you get it, if you sign that you will get one - in the contract.
I found out Whitey does have a degree. He worked on it and got it....Also found PJ Brown has his degree.
Spoon would be awesome.
What about Chrisitie Sides? I know she has a huge following here in the BR. She does skills training at CAP Elite. So she would have some in roads to a lot top players in the area.
Amazing. Fires one, leaves one in limbo, and two others jump ship. The two others, Insell and Crenshaw, were heralded by many on this board as great hires for the program.
The team has talent, the staff has talent. The leader doesn't.
Unfortunately, the ones paying the price are not the ones responsible for the problem.
