Conflicting sex

I thought someone said that transsexuals were actually the sex they thought they were. In other words, that a woman who was born a woman but felt like she was a man was really a man in a woman's body. If that is the case, I guess this story disproves that idea.

I don't pretend to understand, but I do not believe that the transgendered people (the more "correct word," given what they actually think) you are talking about claim to be the SEX they think they are. They claim to be of that GENDER. Under that interpretation, this story doesn't really do too much.

I guess one can be a female by sex, a male (or masculine) by gender, and be gay by gender. In consequence, you are a masculine-gendered female that likes men, or you are a gay transsexual!

It doesn't make complete sense, but I'll give people the benefit of the doubt...
