That's what I thought when reading the title of the thread. I got a visual of "Hi, we're from the temp agency can we come in?... <music> bow-chicka-bow-wow..."

I'm sure Skeet's "home movie" will do better than anything Stone is filming...though I am sure a head shot or two or "back and to the left" could have been said and in Skeet's video so...

Shreve, Have an attorney talk to theirs BEFORE agreeing to ANY amount. You'll need to have the movie company put a "comfortable" amount of money in an account that you have your attorney have access to- in the event of damage to your property. Then have them pay you separately for what you consider your inconvenience to be worth. This way you have your cash in hand and if anything happens to your property you are covered. This is the ONLY way you should handle it as my old boss got absolutely hosed by a flim company. Even though he had a substantial amount of money given to him it barely covered the repairs, landscaping, and theft replacement (take your firearms to a friends house!) and definitely wasn't worth his and his neighbors inconvenience.

I can guarantee you that any resemblance to the truth will have nothing to do with what is put into an Oliver Stone movie. There has to be some other reason they are looking at your home.

According to the site Stoned is also filming a movie called Pinkville. You sure that's not the one?

OK so I was going to take Oliver Stone film titles and make porn names out of them. You know like "Porn on the Fourth of July". However there are far too many titles that could be used just as they are. For instance "Sugar Cookies", Blue Steel, Wild Palms and of course "The People V. Larry Flint".

If you have stuff you don't want stolen, you should just take it to storage before they get there. They don't need your furniture. But hey, this is cool. How many people can say their property was in a movie?

Oh, and request a role, even if it is a small one, so that you can see yourself in the movie too.

Requesting a role isn't a bad idea. Just don't let him use "artistic license" on you like he did with JFK. You could be one of W's oil field hands or something.

Or maybe reprise Kevin Bacon's role.

Well, I got the call today. They have decided they want to use my house. After they figure out the time they will need to be here we are going to sit down and discuss BUSINESS.

    To be continued........

The set up on my house started Monday. They have turned the carport into a garage and painted the kitchen and living room colors that you would see in the 70's. They will be filming Friday and Saturday nights. Everyone on the street is getting paid for the inconvenience of having to move their cars because they are too new for the film setting.

Is your carport a real working garage or just a "set"?
Is your kitchet painted avocado now?
The good news is I bet they didn't touch your bathroom! That pink tile fits in perfectly!:icon_wink:
