After this weekend, the guys or San Jose St could very well have bragging right for last place in the WAC. Hopefully they have pride and do the right thing and sweep the series and bring pride back to La Tech!

Don't forget about New Mexico State.....if Fresno sweeps NM St this weekend, NM States' winning percentage would be .313. IF we sweep San Jose St, our winning percentage would be .333 and San Jose would be at .348. We can't control what the other teams are doing but we can take care of our own business. Remember......getting into the tournament is not decided on total wins,but by the final winning percentages of each team. New Mex St has 20 remaining games....8 vs Fresno....4 vs Sac St.....4 vs Hawaii....4 vs Tech....that is a pretty tough schedule. San Jose St has 12 remaining games....4 vs Tech....4 vs Fresno.....4 vs Nevada.......less games, but still tough games. Tech has 16 remaining games.....4 vs San Jose....4 vs Hawaii....4 vs Nevada....4 vs New Mex St. We need to win 12 of these remaining conference games.....a tall order, but I for one think we can do it. GO DAWGS !!!!

According to the San Jose State website,here is the pitching rotation for the weekend series.......(Friday.....LHP Berner vs RHP Richard).....(Saturday gm #1....LHP Peterson vs RHP Jones).....(gm #2....RHP Shopshire vs RHP Burnett).....(Sunday....RHP Sobczak vs RHP Moseley). I think Richard has earned this start and hope he does well and gets' us off to a great start this weekend.
