Just got his first career catch in the Packers/Browns game.
Yep, and the broadcasters just plugged Louisiana Tech! Yay!
Myles has not been able to show off his speed yet, but he has two catches in the 1st half of the Packers/Vikings game tonight.
Alot more difficult to separate from the db in the league.
After 3 quarters he has five catches for 35 yards.
On the last play of the 3rd quarter, Myles White just turned a long "sideline" screen pass from Aaron Rodgers into a big gain down the Minnesota sideline. He looked GREAT. He shook his first tackler and probably picked up 20 yards on the play, down to the Viking 25 yd line. He showed some speed on that one.
Is it Colby/Aaron, or is Myles a great receiver? What are the Packers going to do when the other receivers return?
Quinton Patton may come back from his injury and do great, but I have been saying for quite a while that I would rather watch Myles (if I had to choose one or the other).
Boykin (#11) for the Packers looks really good too. He seems to be getting more passes too.
Rodgers gave Myles props in the post game interview.
Even after a bad drop Rodgers stayed with him...
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
I'm hoping this is going to be a breakout year for Myles. IF I understand the practice squad rules correctly, this will be the last year Myles can be on the practice squad. He has to make the roster of 53 or his NFL career will be done. Matt Broha found himself in the same situation several years ago and couldn't make the Giants 53 man roster so he was done.
I'm big-time BUMMED that Myles made the Packers 53, then got bumped when James Jones came back. I'm hoping he is able to make some team's 53 instead of being on a practice squad somewhere.
I read Myles had a chance to sign with the Packers practice squad, but has decided to try his luck elsewhere. According to the article he can at least be on the practice squad for the 49ers or the Giants with a possible promotion to the 53 at some point. I guess we'll know something for sure within the next day or so.
