    The Price of Gas

Generally accurate. Left out the effect of adding ethanol, removing MTBE and the quarter trillion in oil futures speculation these days.

Thanks for that article DogtorEvil. Parts of it below for Salty, DB2 and the rest of the DEM/LIB O&G haters andthe latest blame American companies first crowd.

Blaming greedy oil companies on the rising price of gas is simply irresponsible. The profit margins of a few selected industries are as follows:

Murray Rothbard considered this the best text available on price theory.

    Periodical Publishing24.9%
    Shipping18.8%
    Application Software22.5%
    Tobacco19%
    Water Utilities10.2%
    Major Integrated Oil and Gas
    9.5%Hospitals
    1.4%Drugstores2.8%

The water utility industry has higher profit margins than major oil and gas firms! Why isn't every CEO with profit margins above that of the oil companies made to testify before Congress for "price gouging"? Clearly, greedy corporate profits are not the issue.

Bottled drinking water goes for about $8.00+ per gallon guys

This is coming from someone who invests in o&g private placements (alongside J.O.) ??

The dipspit fed and treasury are destroying the value of the dollar by bailing out the crooks on wall street, and causing the bubble to shift over from housing to oil, gold, and other hard assets.

When will the oil bubble burst (again) ??

I'm out of (symbol) DIG and easing into (symbol) DUG, based upon technicals (RSI, MACD, STOCs, and PPO). Probably too early, again, but I'm thinking oil is overdue for a correction ?? Or, not.

Hope they paid cash because the same thing happened 2 weeks ago in another part of the country & the people who used their credit cards will find the prices adjusted back up to that days' price/gallon when the bill shows up.
