Let them play it at JAS if they hold it Friday. BBB could supply the workers. Put together a package for folks who want to go to both.

Yeah that would be nice to host it at JAS...those kids would experience a D1 environment with all the Tailgating by MSU and Tech fans. Set up temp endzone seating for high schoolers.
don't worry i'm sure the miss state fans will fill the empty seats
Anyway, the fans we're looking for are those who are not parents of a player, dance line, band parent or pep squad member.(Unfortunately, At WM and Ruston, that's a significant number of folks!).
Yes that is a significant number. Several hundered I'd guess. Several hundred may not sound like too many to lots of folks, but many of those are avid Tech fans and many Tech season ticket holders who will not be able to attend because their son or daughter is participating that night. I really hate it for those folks who love Tech, but won't be able to be in Ruston.
Have these games played at the same time will cost both the Jamboree and Tech fans. At a minimum it would be nice if if Coach Shows (a tech alumni) and Ruston High could find a way to get their games played early considering those two school will have the largest contingent of people who will want to attend both games. Maybe AD/Coach Dooley should give Shows a call.
Mad, this is gonna hurt more than folks think. About half of our tailgating group will probably be out. I will be there, but my family won't. They better go after another group of fans, maybe in northwest, la.
I don't think this will hurt our attendance:icon_wink:
Let's see. It's Jamboree and the dorms don't open until the next day. What else can we do to make sure our stadium is full of Ms State fans? Let's all think hard.
Why are high schools playing on Sat. night? Isn't it supposed to be
Fri. - high school
Sat. - college
Sun. - NFL
All these are great suggestions and Fox and I brought these to all the parties involved attention. As you can see nothing!
If they don't change the dates, it's their lost...unfortunately they'll miss the Tech vs Miss St.
Don't worry - we're coming and they don't have to come and get us.
While I find this incredibly stupid on the part of local high schools to do this, we have no choice but to deal with it. Wasn't Ruston originally scheduled to go to the Dallas area for a scrimmage? I think the LHSAA shot that down.
I can understand if you have a kid playing in this scrimmage, but attending for any reason beyond that vs attending the biggest game that will be played at Tech in years is puzzling.
This is a scrimmage, not the opening game of the season.
Jordan Mills on choosing Tech:
“It’s a great experience seeing them play. It was a good atmosphere. The fans stood up the whole game and never sat down. They have a great fan base.”
