Student Seats Mississippi State

Those of you who have been wondering about the student ticket allotment for Mississippi State, it looks like students are being given 4 sections on the bottom of the east side (approximately 3000 seats). I guess if they have over 3000 students, they can make the hill available for overflow.

Every damn Fall. They NEVER learn.

We have this same discussion every Fall. We lament it every Fall. Someone makes a call every Fall. The dorms then open early every Fall. Only it's too late to let the students know so special announcements have to go out every Fall. Damn. Wake up people who are creating the Academic Schedule. Every Fall.

First why is move in day on a Sunday? When I was there...dorms opened on a friday or saturday...allowing students/parents to easily use that weekend to move in.

I ordered my first season ticket ever, section OO row 29, seat 21

3,000 - free to students
10,000 - season tix, possibly = over 1 mil with ~300k from season tix to the MSU game
17,600 sold @40 = 704,000

So we are potentially looking at 1 mil in ticket sales for a home game. I'll take that over a money game on the road.

I'm pretty sure you are right. But we still have to go through this exercise in futility EVERY Fall. They never update the schedule BEFORE school lets out for the summer. Someone please correct me if I am mistaken regarding this.

That's a question for athletics. The academic calendar is set 2+ years in advance.

We plan on purchasing a block of 100 for our companies. We will be running promo's for tickets on radio, etc. Anyone have any idea how much better we are % wise vs last year on ticket sales.
BTW, We are planning on going to the Hawaii, Boise, and Army away games next season. Anyone else planning on away trips?
We may goto the Kansas game....Not sure about that one yet.

Screwing that up once is understandable. Twice is reprimandable. Every Fall is grounds for dismissal.
