The Western Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament starts today as No. 1 seed Fresno State takes on sixth-seeded Sacramento State at 11 a.m. CT. Game two will feature No. 2 Hawai‘i against No. 5 New Mexico State. In the nightcap, No. 3 Nevada will go against No. 4 San Jose State at 7 p.m.

They should not have scored one of their runs, but did due to a two out error on the FSU short stop.

RUSTON ? Fresno State ace Tanner Scheppers figured to be the biggest draw at the WAC tournament, but an undisclosed injury took him out of the competition before the first pitch was thrown at Pat Patterson Park.
