    It would take a lot of money to get him to go, but the angels had to know that going in, so taking him in the 5th makes me think they'll make a run at him.

    Normally $120-150K for this are of draft. I would say they offer him $150-200K + school $$$ to get him to sign

    Last year a pitcher drafter in the 4th got $1.1 million to come out of college, so I would imagine it would take a lot more than $150-200k. I think his name was Jake Arietta, drafted by Baltimore out of TCU. The average for a fifth rounder last year was $226,556 so I think it will take twice this to get him. And I think the Angles are a team willing to spend. What do you think Omaha?

    You are probably right, but I was just saying what they will begin their offer with. I have no idea what it will take. If I were Cooper it would take school $$$ + 400-500K (at a minimum) to sign

    I think thats the main reason he didn't get as many looks from a lot of the bigger schools for footbal. To much risk that something like this was gonna happen.
