    If he could have kept his academics in order at Tech, we wouldn't have this problem. There's no denying his baseball talent, but being ineligible for the first two weeks of the season really hurt his chances to be a big contributor this past year. He probably would have been the starting DH if he had been eligible, but then Alexander jumped in there and got hot in the early part of the season and there was just no way you could keep his bat out of the lineup.

    Tough break for Chris, but the bottom line is that he didn't stay on top of his schoolwork. And that is priority #1.
