I had a buddy who went to LSU who thought Rice got the easy draw with Fresno. I told him you never want to face the hot team. Rresno is hot right now, and it can sometimes carry you to the title.

I was hoping Fresno would have a chance to know out the tiggers but I'm really glad they won. They will have a tough time with NC but Cinderella is definitely at the ball.

Fresno was supposed to be an easy draw, but they clearly dominated Rice, who now takes on LSU in the losers bracket.

Fresno hasn't been getting much respect, nor has the WAC, thoughout the playoffs. That is until now. I think everyone's starting to take them pretty seriously. That's good for Fresno and good for the WAC

They represent the 3 seed slot, but they came into the regionals ranked in the 33-48 area, not sure about actual RPI. They had to beat the 14 seed (Long Beach Regional) in their regional and then beat the three seed in the super regional (Arizona State) to earn that spot. It wasnt bestowed upon them for a great regular season like these other teams. But, it is the hottest team that is the scariest team. they were 37-27 coming into regional play, but they are 12-2 over their last 14 games.

I cant blame the NCAA for only sending 1 WAC team, the league didnt exactly tear it up in non league play. Although it is at the beginning of the year, but they dont have much else to go off of. Nevada would have been the only other team with a shot though.

Actually since Fresno State was a #4 seed in the regionals, it was in the bottom 16 in the field or in the 49-64 range. Fresno State's RPI was 89 going into the tournament, but that's what a 37-27 record does to an RPI.
