I may have to look into that. When I lived up in VA, the best crap cakes I tried were in Annapolis at a place called Buddy's. Their plate consisted of one 1lb jumbo lump crab cake. It wasn't fried, but was held together by some kind of au gratin-type cheese sauce. Was Simply awesome.

These crabcakes are 8 ounces each, mostly lump ctabmeat. The "filler" basically just holds them together when you bake them.
