Did y'all happen to notice any special group in the list of sponsors?
Louisiana law still prohibits alcohol possession on a public college campus, much less selling it.
It depends on who owns the facility.
It is illegal for properties to sell alcohol at events if they are owned by an NCAA sanctioned school. So, places like Aillet Stadium or Thomas Assembly Center can not sell alcohol because they are owned by Louisiana Tech University.
But, if the arena is owned by a city or municipality, they can sell alcohol. So, the Cajun Dome in Lafayette can legally sell booze at games because it is owned by the City of Lafayette.
That's why they do NOT sell beer at Tech football games in Ruston, but they DO sell beer at Tech football games at Indy Stadium.
Lets try to stick to the things that we can effect quickly and effiecently. This debate has lasted and will last for many years. Keep your eye on the ball. Butts in seats and final scores on the Jumbotron that show us in the W column.
